Interest in Live weapons/target archery

Postby EgonDerRichter on Thu Nov 01, 2007 2:33 pm

Do we have a rough idea of how many are interested in target archery and/or live weapons?

I've been doing archery and thrown weapons for years now.

Bow, Axe, and Knife are my preferred. Not too good with spear though.

I'm interested in target archery, but don't have any equipment, as of yet! By the way, Egon... when are you gonna become our official Marshall for live weapons/archery? Hmmm....

I have a combat crossbow which I have used for target archery so far. One of these day I might actually get off my butt and back into armor to do CA.....

I am interested in both thrown weapons and archery. I have loaner gear, targets for both and a range on my property in Marietta. I am willing to host on Sundays that do not conflict with events. I have filled out the paperwork, taken the class and supervised a range/event at GW.

That is really fantastic Mikolaj!! Another great activity to do in the group! Thank you for being willing to host it & go through the steps to become "official"!

On the Sundays you are going to have archery & live weapons practice, could you possibly try to post that here (including the hours you want to run it for)? I know I'm not the only person who doesn't like to just show up, not knowing if an activity is going on or not, especially at someone's home. It makes me feel really uncomfortable not knowing if I am intruding or not!

Thanks!

I second that!

Too bad it's so hot in the summer I don't go outside at all unless it's to go to work or necessary shopping.
Or to mow the lawn first thing in the morning!

I look foward to the cooler weather so I can take advantage of your kind offer. :)

Working with the marshallate right now. I am trying to get them to understand that we do have a good demand here so that they will allow expansion. Soooo, if you have any interest at all, please sound off here, or send me an e-mail.

Thanks,

I'm not sure what you mean by "will allow expansion"! Although I know that I am very interested in target archery & possibly the thrown weapons. I know there are others within the Shire like Sheree & Caley who are interested as well.

Yup Yup what Rosalinde said!

What do you mean by expansion?

A friend told me of a local longbow supplier that has good bows on the cheap. I'll get the info and post it here. Anyone know of a cheap supplier for arrows?
